Got friends or family in Wisconsin? Ones likely to vote Democratic (or at least persuadable?). Call them, email them, FB message them NOW, and make sure they actually get to the polls today!
Turnout is apparently through the roof in today’s election, which is good for Dems (more of them in WI), but make no mistake, we’re going to need HUGE, HUGE, HUGE turnout to win this.
Make those last minute contacts, and make them count!
It is sickening that an honorable and humble public servant such as Mayor Tom Barrett has already been outspent nearly 7 to 1 (!) because of financial contributions from a couple of Koch-heads. Win or lose, Scott Walker will always be a conservative tool, and the people of Wisconsin will all be be losers unless he is defeated today. However, it is alo true that Evanston will always be a much better college town than Madison, and none of us who live here in Chicago would ever trade places with a resident of Milwaukee (ugh!). Today, we are Wisconsin…in spirit only, of course.
