15,000 people tell Justice Scalia, “Yes, I DO expect you to read the law”

15,000 signers for this petition, and still climbing.

I find it mind-boggling that Justice Scalia seems to be getting a free pass for this.  He’s not going to read it, or even have his clerks read it?  Really?  He’s going to rule on the biggest case in years without knowing what’s actually in the law?

And really, it’s not 2,700 pages like the Encyclopedia Britannica, it’s a got enormous margins that would make a high-schooler trying to reach a page limit for a report green with envy.

Scalia ranted about a provision that wasn’t actually in the final law.  That’s problematic.  It shows that he does not know what he is ruling on.  He should actually read the law, or recuse himself.
