I’m sure Tulsa is a nice place, but this is bullshit

Generally when people talk about their area being “real America,” as opposed to rest of the country, it pretty much shows they don’t know jack shit about what being an American really is:

Tulsa Trying To Lure 2024 Olympics To‘Real America”

“The larger cities aren’t truly representative of what the real America is,” Jennifer Jones of the Tulsa 2024 bid committee told the Times. “The real America is the midsize cities, and we want people to see America.”

I’m sure Tulsa is a fine city and all, but… I’m so tired of nimrods somehow implying big cities/east coast/fill in the blank/ is not “real America.” F*** that.
